Our resident poet Kate Swann will be holding a Poetry Evening where she'll be reading some of her work but that doesn't mean that you can sit quietly and just listen. Why not bring along some of your own work to read to the group? You'll find it a friendly environment and you'll receive gentle guidance on how to improve your poetry skills. Come along, it will be fun!

Children's Activities for FEVA

Knaresborough Library - Phone 01423 533610 or drop in and let them know you’re coming.
We're holding a Children's Day in collaboration with Books and Beverages and Knaresborough Festival of Art (FEVA) between 10.30 am and 4 pm especially aimed at Children between school age and early teens. During the morning Yvonne Battle-Fenton will hold a writing session for older children - middle grade to teens while Jane Clack will hold a session for younger children with readings and creative artwork. In the afternoon Linda Jones will read from her children's books and design a cat cutout. Peter Kay will follow with a reading and puzzle from his own book. Pam Golden will talk about her books which address a simpler time in human development and examine artefacts from that period. Paul Smith will read from his Dingle Valley series and hold a session on craft-work including the environment and sustainability, a theme in his books.
